C2S2 students win CICC Best Student Paper Award

C2S2 students Gokce Keskin and Jonathan Proesel, advised by Prof. Larry Pileggi at Carnegie Mellon University, won the Best Student Paper Award at the Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC). Their paper, titled "Statistical Modeling and Post Manufacturing Configuration for Scaled Analog CMOS," presents a novel Statistical Element Selection (SES) method to address the mismatch issues for scaled analog circuits. The proposed SES method is demonstrated to achieve an order of magnitude better matching than both redundancy and Pelgrom-model sizing given the same core circuit area. This award will be presented at the keynote session of CICC 2011.
