In collaboration with the MSD and FENA centers, we are exposing the most promising emerging device technologies to the circuits community to demonstrate their potential utility for new and existing applications. We plan to define some of the long range paths that will bring these nascent technologies to fruition. At this time we are focusing on two promising areas:

• Imperfection-Immune Logic using Carbon Nanotube Transistors (Mitra—Stanford University)
• Emerging Device Model Development and Circuit Demonstration (Wong—Stanford University)

CMOS++: Augmenting The Si Platform: Augment Conventional CMOS Platform With Emerging Sensors And Devices

• Carbon-on-CMOS Electronics (Shepard—Columbia University)
• Piezoelectrics On CMOS For Resonant Energy Storage And Mass-Based Sensing (Shepard, Kymissis—Columbia University)
• Emerging Memory Device Model Development (Wong—Stanford University)
• Graphene Electronics and Energy Storage for Flexible Substrates (Weldon—Carnegie Mellon University)
